What is 3D printing?
3D printing has been around in different industries for many
years. It is an additive manufacturing process where a program is used to
create a design, which is then printed from the bottom up until it is finished.
Now, with new technological advances, 3D desktop printer are available for home,
school, and office use. This new, smaller, printer can produce prototypes for a
much lower price tag than before. Instead of going to a production company,
businesses and other users can create models onsite with basic knowledge for
utilization.
With the ability to produce onsite, users can create different
3D models in different shapes, sizes, and colour.
How it works?
3D printers are machines that create 3D objects of any shape from a basic design plan. The digital design plan is “sliced” into many horizontal layers. Printer melts the material and deposits material one layer at a time. Layer is shaped using a precision layer. The layers blend together, creating an object. Please watch the video below for detailed information about how it works.
